National Stadium awaits ‘High voltage Karachi vs Lahore’ tonight

The defending champions Karachi Kings will take on Lahore Qalandars at the National Stadium tonight in the eleventh fixture of ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six.

The highly anticipated encounter is all set to thrill fans with excitement considering the rivalry between the two cities. Both teams have played three matches so far in the tournament, winning two and losing one.

Karachi holds a significant dominance in the head-to-head contest over Lahore. Karachi has down Lahore seven times in the past five seasons while Lahore has managed to win four.

The most recent clash between the two was the PSL 5 final where Karachi trounced Lahore by five wickets at the same venue of the National Stadium.

Viewing Karachi’s squad, they have all bases covered. After conceding 195 against Multan Sultans yesterday, they managed to chase down the target with seven bowls to spare courtesy of a brilliant knock by Babar Azam.

On the other hand, Lahore lost to Multan on Friday as they failed to defend the 158-run target. Their bowling department looked weak in the absence of Rashid Khan, who left for national duty. Their overseas pros David Wiese, Ben Dunk and Samit Patel have not up to the standards too.

Meanwhile, few one-on-one clashes are expected to take place during the match. Upfront fans will get to watch Lahore’s Shaheen Shah bowling to Babar while they will have the chance to see Mohammad Amir bowling to veteran Mohammad Hafeez.
