An Australian figure skater who appeared at three Olympic Games has been banned for life from competing in the US after an investigation found he engaged in sexual misconduct with a minor.
Brendan Kerry, an opening ceremony flag-bearer at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, has been blacklisted on the public database of the US Center for SafeSport, the country's leading investigator into abuse in sport.
The SafeSport database states that Kerry's ban is "subject to appeal" and says it's "not final yet".

Kerry's entry in the database also includes a "no contact directive", aimed at preventing him from contacting other involved parties.
The Sydney product is permanently barred from taking part in any event sponsored and/or organised by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, as well as any US figure-skating body.
SafeSport policy describes sexual misconduct as offences that include, but are not limited to: sexual harassment, assault, rape, exploitation, hazing or other sexually inappropriate conduct.
The governing body considers anyone under the age of 18 to be a minor.
Wide World of Sports understands that Kerry has a coaching accreditation in Australia.
He competed at the Sochi 2014, PyeongChang 2018 and Beijing 2022 Olympics, before retiring as injuries took their tool.
