Carlton's Matt Owies has come under fire after he received a free kick for a dumping sling tackle against Collingwood on Friday night.
Owies was wrapped up in a tackle by Magpie Brayden Maynard during Collingwood's six-point win at the MCG.
The Blues forward was slung to the ground and rewarded a free kick for the dangerous act in the third term.

However, on second look, Owies may have contributed to the sling that saw him propelled head-first into the MCG turf.
Collingwood players believed Owies added to the tackle.
Maynard was caught on the field umpire's microphone expressing his anger at the decision.
"What? He jumped forward," Maynard said.
Owies then went back and slotted a goal to reduce the Pies' lead to just six points in the third quarter.
"You can hear the Collingwood players say, 'He dived forward' – I reckon he's got a bit of a case," Richmond legend Matthew Richardson said in commentary for Channel Seven.
"I think he (Owies) was reasonably happy to go forward there … he knows he might've been able to draw one (free kick)."
Despite the free kick handed Carlton's way, the Pies were able to snatch the four points in a classic rivalry match.
It was thanks to one man who knows exactly how to stand up when the game is in the balance.
Nick Daicos.
With one minute left to play and the scores level at 70-all, Daicos snatched a brilliant goal from 45 metres out after he sharked the ball from the ruckman.
The Blues were unable to cover the space left by Daicos as Pies fans, and his own father Collingwood legend Peter Daicos, celebrated brilliantly.
The Pies were able to hang on to take another special win over their cross-town rivals.
