Karachi: Veteran cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi looked unhappy by the constant abusive behavior of Afghanistan’s Naveen-ul-Haq with Mohammad Amir on the field.
Afridi, who is the captain of Galle Gladiators in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), revealed later today that his advice to Naveen was simple as he reminded him not to indulge in abusive talk.

“My advise to the young player was simple, play the game and don’t indulge in abusive talk. I have friends in Afghanistan team and we have very cordial relations. Respect for teammates and opponents is the basic spirit of the game,” Afridi wrote on Twitter.
Note, Afridi scowled Naveen-ul-Haq after he showed dissent to Amir following his team Kandy Tuskers’ 25-runs victory against Galle Gladiators.
At the end of the match when players were shaking hands, Afridi was having a smile until Naveen came up and Afridi inquired him what he was saying to Amir. “Kya Hoa [What Happened],” he asked.
The on-field camera recorded the moment and it went viral on social with fans criticizing the young bowler for not showing respect to his seniors.
