In exciting news for Tasmanian footy fans, they'll soon get to know all the details surrounding their new AFL team, to be launched into the league in 2028.
Acting club CEO Kath McCann declared that all the ins and outs of the team will be officially released next month.
Tasmania was granted the league's 19th license last May.

"We're going to be launching the club in March… that's happening," McCann told SEN Tassie
"What's going to happen in March? We're going to find out the name, the colours, the foundation jumper, the logo and foundation membership."
McCann broke down the support the new club has received, with "over 6,000" locals participating in data collection to help shape and represent their state.
It also means they'll be able to build their own identity from the ground up, says McCann.
"Over 6,000 Tasmanians completed the survey and the community forums gave up some pretty clear directions, so I'm pretty excited and hopefully we've nailed it for the Tasmanian people," McCann said,
"We don't need to replicate a model of another club, or another place, because we're our own place."

Meantime, the new club will have a pretty impressive base, worth over $70 million built for their arrival.
It will include the club's training base and coaching and administrative offices. Plans were signed off in December 2023.
"I had one of the other senior staff say to me: 'Kath, I'm drinking the Tassie Kool-Aid. You're already my second club'," McCann said.
Tasmania will join the AFL for the 2028 season and beyond.
