Mercedes will be without seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton at this weekend's Sakhir Grand Prix in Bahrain after he tested positive to COVID-19.
Hamilton is currently undergoing self-isolation after his positive test with all contacts declared.
The 35-year-old is the third F1 driver to test positive to coronavirus this season after Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll.
Despite testing negative three times last week, including on Sunday afternoon, Hamilton woke up with mild symptoms of the virus on Monday morning and was informed that a contact prior to arrival in Bahrain had tested positive.
Hamilton was tested two more times after waking up on Monday and tested positive both times. All close contacts of the reigning champion are currently undergoing testing.
Mercedes is yet to confirm Hamilton's replacement for this weekend's race.
Hamilton will require another negative test before he is able to return for the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi.
The Briton sealed this year's world championship in Turkey, tying F1 legend Michael Schumacher's record of seven F1 titles.
