Liberty Media could soon add a fourth Formula 1 race in the United States to the calendar.
Chicago has been tipped to host a race on its streets after trademarks were filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for Formula 1 Grand Prix of Chicago, Grand Prix of Chicago, Chicago Grand Prix, and Formula 1 Chicago Grand Prix.
F1 already has three races across Austin, Miami, and Las Vegas. The former is held at Circuit of the Americas while the latter pair takes place on the respective city streets.

F1 has enjoyed a boom in popularity in the USA thanks to Netflix and its fly-on-the-wall Drive To Survive docuseries.
F1 owners Liberty Media have tried to capitalise on that with the expansion of the racing series in North America.
The Miami Grand Prix made its debut in 2022 while the Las Vegas Grand Prix held its first race in 2023.
Chicago already has a strong motorsport presence. IndyCar and NASCAR raced regularly at Chicagoland Speedway before the COVID-19 pandemic struck.
Last year, NASCAR hosted its first Cup Series street race in downtown Chicago.
F1 demonstrations have been a regular occurrence in the Windy City.
With the 2024 calendar set, a grand prix in Chicago could only take place as early as 2025.
