Brazilian athlete Adhemar Ferreira da Silva was a polyglot having learnt English, Finnish, French, Japanese, Italian, German and Spanish. He created the victory lap after winning gold medal at the 1952 Olympics. He also acted in 1959 film “Black Orpheus” which won Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival.
