Winner's urgent handshake before throwing up

Britain's Jack Draper completed a gutsy comeback victory over American Marcos Giron at the Australian Open – and proceeded to 'celebrate' by throwing up after shaking his hand.

Draper finished strong to win the 3h 20m, five set epic 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 in 30 degree Melbourne heat on Tuesday afternoon.

The 22-year-old had his blood pressure tested during the match and received attention during a medical time out but soldiered on.

Draper played in the Adelaide International final on Saturday, losing 6-4, 4-6, 3-6 to Jiri Lehecka.

The world No.55 will meet another American – 14th seed Tommy Paul – in the second round on Thursday.

Draper smoked Paul 6-1, 6-4 in the quarter-finals in Adelaide.

"I don't know how much I learned last week. He beat the breaks off of me," Paul said after his first round win.
