Coco Gauff clearly wasn't a fan of Nickelodeon's "The Wild Thornberrys" growing up, hitting out at a cartoon image of American players in the style of the kids' TV show.
In a since-deleted social media post, Gauff criticised a caricature of herself that was used as promotional material by the USTA, labelling it as "hideous" and "foul".
Jessica Pegula, Sebastian Korda, Emma Navarro, Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, and Tommy Paul all featured in the cartoon too.

"Worst thing I've ever seen," she wrote in an Instagram story.
"Like a caricature artist decided to make (us) all look like hideous looking people. The art style is cool for a cartoon show but not for a hype post. Foul."
Gauff later Tweeted before deleting, "Y'all I know it is a cartoon show but I think I would prefer to be drawn as a Bratz art style and not this. This is makes us all look so ugly."
Compatriot Pegula took some amusement from the cartoon posting, "Hahahahhaha we are ugly af."

Gauff comes to the Australian Open in the midst of a purple patch.
The 19-year-old won her first grand slam in 2023 when she took out her home event, the US Open.

She continued that form into the new year, winning the Auckland Open in New Zealand with victory over Elina Svitolina.
Gauff arrived in Melbourne as the fourth seed behind Iga Switak, Aryna Sabalenka, and Elina Rybakina.
Gauff faces Anna Karolina Schmiedlova of Slovakia in her first round. A win over Schmiedlova will set up a contest with Carolina Dolehide.
There's potential for Gauff to face Caroline Garcia or Naomi Osaka in the fourth round pending the outcome of that match-up and subsequent contests.
