Hi Folks, This might seem like a weird question, but I am the member of an online VR golf community and we play tournaments. This the the way they decide the playoff brackets: The tournament is broken into four divisions, but every player in the tournament is ranked by their overall score. Let’s say there are 20 players total, and the top six players overall play in the Pro playoff brackets, the next 6 are in semi-pro, the next 6 in amateur, and 2 people don’t make the playoffs. In the last week of regular season play, the top seeds in each division do not have to play, and their positions in the standings are protected. However everyone else gets to play. The way the wildcard week affects the overall playoff standing is that everyone on each skill level is ranked based SOLELY on the score they receive in the wild card games. The last place ranking player in each league gets bumped to the lower league REGARDLESS of the total points they have on the season. Does this make sense to anyone? Thanks!! submitted by /u/Only_Impression8399 |
