Barty, who last night reached the quarter-finals of the Australian Open, is in good shape to progress to the final of the event for the first time in her career before a long trip on the road awaits her.

Flying abroad for a 2021 season on the tour looms as a massive undertaking, with much of the world still dealing with a COVID-19 crisis.

Todd Woodbridge predicted after Nick Kyrgios' thirds round exit that he would once again stay home for the year to avoid the worst of the pandemic.

Yet Barty, who chose not to play for most of last year, looks set to resume her career in full, with Tyzzer indicating a full schedule of tournaments was on the cards.

"Yeah, that may be the case [we won't be back until Christmas]," Tyzzer said.

"We're planning on going to the Middle East. We've entered Doha, Dubai and Miami. We'll head off to those tournaments.

"Because of the quarantine arrangements here, we won't come back for a while. We'll be away for a while if we go."

Barty's coach said the team is currently looking to set up camp in Europe, with the Australian world No.1 to use the location as a temporary home to go to and from as they plot their way around the world.

"We're hoping that we'll set up some sort of base somewhere probably in Europe where we can at least switch off and relax and spend some time away from tennis, maybe a bit of golf for Ash" he added.

"We're yet to finalize anything in that regard. But yeah, we're planning on being away for a while."
