Nofoaluma has lodged an official complaint with the Rugby League Players Association over misconduct by the club.
A meeting was held between Nofoaluma, the players association and Wests Tigers representatives on Thursday.
The 30-year-old, who is the club's all-time leading try-scorer with 100 to his name, has taken umbrage with how he has been treated during training sessions.
Fitness level has been a sticking point in pre-season trials, according to the SMH.
The report details communication issues between Nofoaluma and the club's football department led by Marshall and the new-look support set-up.
Training methods to improve Nofoaluma's fitness haven't sat well with the NRL star.
Thursday's meeting ultimately ended with Nofoaluma agreeing to return to training on Monday.
Nofoaluma has two years remaining on his contract with the club, worth roughly $500,000 per annum.
