Australian boxer Skye Nicolson is in line to be promoted to full WBC featherweight champion after undisputed, seven-division champion Amanda Serrano vacated her title.
Serrano relinquished her belt due to the WBC's refusal to allow women boxers to fight three-minute rounds and 12-round title fights.
"I am the first undisputed female champion to fight 12×3 minute rounds," Serrano said in a post.

"Moving forward if a sanctioning body doesn't want to give me and my fellow fighters the choice to fight the same as the men, then I will not be fighting for that sanctioning body.
"The WBC has refused to evolve the sport for equality. So I am relinquishing their title.
"'Thankyou to the sanctioning bodies who have evolved for equality!"
Nicolson, the WBC interim featherweight champ, has been pushing for a bout with Serrano following her dominant win over Lucy Wildheart in Dublin last month.
The Aussie may have to fight for the vacant championship belt or the WBC could elevate her to full champion status.
Nicolson scored the first stoppage win of her professional career with a ninth round TKO of Wildheart.
It was the first defence of her WBC interim title, and the former Commonwealth Games gold medalist couldn't help but call out Serrano after the fight.

"No disrespect, she's one of my idols and one of the trailblazers for women's boxing," Nicolson said. "To share the ring with her would be an honour, but also I want to prove that I'm the best in the world.
"That's the fight I want, that's the fight anyone training in the featherweight division wants.
"I feel like I'm next in line and I'm hoping to make it happen in my next fight.
"I want to go undisputed in 10 fights, I want to be world champion in my 10th fight."
