47 student-athletes earn 2023-24 NFCA High School Summer/Fall All-Region honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced 47 student-athletes from 30 programs have received 2023-24 NFCA High School Summer/Fall All-Region accolades.

The awards honor softball student-athletes from Region I and II of the Association’s 10 regions with first- and second-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region voted on the teams. All selected student-athletes now become eligible for the 2024 NFCA High School All-America squads, which will be voted on at the conclusion of the spring season and include the 2023-24 Spring All-Region honorees.

The two regions comprise of high schools from the states of Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma, who compete in either the fall or summer.

Blue Springs South High School (Mo.) out of Region I led all programs with five All-Region honors, which included two on the first team. Fellow Region I team Washington High School (Mo.) had four all-region honorees and topped all programs with three first teamers.

Three programs – Guthrie High School (Okla.), Piedmont High School (Okla.) and Pope High School (Ga.) – topped Region II with three plaudits apiece. Guthrie and Piedmont, along with Tuttle High School (Okla.), took home a pair of first-team nods.

Also posting multiple All-Region selections were Raymore-Peculiar High School (Mo.) and Rock Bridge High School (Mo.) from Region I and North Oconee High School (Ga.) out of Region II.

Additionally, 21 more programs were represented by one honoree apiece.

NFCA High School All-Region and All-America student-athletes must be nominated by their NFCA-member head coach. All-Region is voted on by their respective region’s member head coaches, and All-Americans are voted on by the entire high school head coaching membership.

Celebrating 40 years in 2023, the NFCA is the professional organization for fastpitch softball coaches. Known for its highly-regarded All-Region and All-America awards, the NFCA also educates and supports softball coaches on a variety of different levels: from podcasts to a comprehensive drills database, to in-person events and a National Convention.
