Former Adelaide coach Don Pyke has been named the new CEO of the West Coast Eagles, replacing the outgoing Trevor Nisbett.
Pyke played the entirety of his AFL career with the Eagles between 1989 and 1996, and joins the club after stints with both the Crows and Sydney Swans, where he was a strategy coach under John Longmire.
The CEO role at West Coast will be Pyke's first major role since he resigned as Adelaide coach in the wake of the club's controversial 2018 pre-season camp. He will formally commence in the role on January 15, 2024.

"I am excited to be returning home to a club I love in the West Coast Eagles where I have such wonderful memories and am proud and honoured to be given the responsibility to lead the club forward," Pyke said on Thursday.
"This is a pivotal time for our club, our people and our supporters to pursue excellence to attain success again. I am very much looking forward to working with everyone across the entire organisation as we build towards the 2024 season."
The Eagles are thrilled to welcome Pyke back to his "spiritual home".
"Don's football pedigree is outstanding, having worked as a senior coach, player and serving as a Board director at our club. He has also held a number of senior business leadership roles," Eagles chairman Paul Fitzpatrick said.
"His unique experience gives him unrivalled knowledge of all aspects of the club's operations, both on field and off.
"However, it is his knowledge of football operations that we know will prove invaluable as the club builds on its strong foundations to once again experience on-field success."
Pyke was credited for his role in the Swans' rise to the grand final in 2022 after he took charge of the team's offence.
The 54-year-old coached Adelaide to 56 wins between 2016 and 2019 and was initially successful, leading the Crows to the 2017 grand final before things turned sour. He resigned at the end of 2019.
Pyke played 132 games for the Eagles and was a member of the club's 1992 and 1194 premiership teams.
