Pro wrestler James “Kamala” Harris has died at the age of 70.

The WWE star, also known as the Ugandan Giant, died on Sunday, representatives from the entertainment company confirmed in a statement on their website.

“WWE is saddened to learn that James Harris, known to WWE fans as Kamala, has passed away at age 70,” they penned. “Under the frightening face paint of Kamala, the 6-foot-7, 380-pound Harris battled the greatest Superstars in sports-entertainment history, including Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker and Andre the Giant.

“He terrorized opponents and thrilled audiences in Mid-South, World Class Championship Wrestling, WCW and WWE until 2006. WWE extends its condolences to Harris’ family, friends and fans.”

A cause of death has yet to be confirmed, but Harris notably suffered multiple health ailments over the years, and had to have his both of his legs amputated due to medical complications from diabetes and high blood pressure.

The sportsman was an active pro wrestler from 1978 until 2010, and he fought other WWE legends including Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant.
