Australian heavyweight boxer Justis Huni has announced himself on the international stage, defeating Andrew Tabiti in Mexico to win his first overseas fight.
Huni made a name for himself when he accounted for Paul Gallen with relative ease in 2021 but has only had two fights since, winning both.
Before that he won a bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships as an amateur.

Huni's victory over Tabiti was by unanimous decision with the 24-year-old claiming the vacant WBA international heavyweight title.
The Queenslander's record is now 8-0 with four of those wins coming from knockouts.
Huni's performance handed American Tabiti his second career loss from 22 fights.

Both fighters were entertaining in the early stages, trading blows but Huni took over as the bout went on, landing a number of heavy body shots.
The 24-year-old's last fight before Mexico was against Riki Leutele in November last year which he won by unanimous decision.
