The only team to directly avoid this curse is the Georgia Bulldogs (NCAAF) due to 99.9% of their game being played in 2022 and they also played the Ohio State Buckeyes, another B-team.

The Bills and Bengals (NFL) also avoided the curse by letting the 1-seed go to Kansas City.
