St George Illawarra Dragons coach Shane Flanagan has denied reports linking Jayden Brailey with a move to the club as he continues to make moves in the player market.
The rise of Phoenix Crossland at the Knights means there'll be a battle for the No.9 jersey between he and the Newcastle skipper with the latter coming back from injury.
With Flanagan's son Kyle and Hame Sele joining the club next season, the Dragons will look to make roster changes after finishing 16th, however it's unlikely Brailey will feature in the red V.

"I've got no idea where that one come from to be really honest," Flanagan told 2GB's Wide World of Sports Radio.
"I see Jayden a fair bit, we're family friends and he grew up (with Kyle) obviously a little bit older than Kyle but him and Blayke (Brailey) are good family friends.
"I don't know whether someone has seen me with him or something like that and they've put two and two together but he's on contract at the Knights."

While denying the hooker will join, Flanagan did praise the Newcastle captain, explaining he's the type of player he'd love to add to his roster.

"He's had a tough run (with injury)," he said.
