Dally M favourite Shaun Johnson has offered an apology to his club's supporters after the Warriors' disappointing 42-12 loss.
The halfback led his side to a preliminary final after overcoming a calf injury but couldn't replicate his performance again. Johnson also went off during the first half with a finger complaint but returned to the field immediately with heavy strapping.
Post-game, the 33-year-old gave plenty of credit to the Broncos after their emphatic performance in attack.

"(I'm) disappointed, but full credit to the Broncos, they were sharp tonight, I thought they played really fast and I think they're going to go pretty well next week," he told Nine.
Despite the loss, the halfback was reflective when looking back at his side's season after finishing 15th last year.
The arrival of Andrew Webster as coach and a return to New Zealand as a permanent base turned the side into premiership contenders but ultimately the final prize alluded them.

"The turnaround has been massive obviously for the club to be able to go back home and I think rugby league in New Zealand is popping off right now," Johnson said.
"I want to say to all our fans and members – they supported us all year long – sorry we let you down tonight, but the love and support we've received has just been amazing and the playing group certainly appreciated it."
At round 12 when Dally M voting went behind closed doors, Johnson sat on 22 points with Payne Haas claiming 30.
Origin meant the prop has missed games though while Johnson has played his best football late in the season and Queensland great Cameron Smith believes he's a good chance at claiming the award.
"I think so. He's been so consistent," he said on Nine's coverage.
"The Warriors finished with plenty of wins. He'll pick up plenty of points."
