Why do people think it’s fair for trans women to compete against biological women?

This is a topic that’s really been on my mind after seeing it so frequent in the past couple years and it being so personal to me. My neice had to compete against a “trans woman” in her private jiu-jitsu tournament and she ended up having her ankle broken and Achilles Tendon tore. I was absolutely opposed to her matching up with this opponent for obvious reasons. It’s safe to say there was an absolute outrage after this happened and a physical altercation occured with myself, my brother and three men from the family of the young trans woman.

My neice is an extremely strong young lady that works her butt off. She’s been training for 7 years now and has only lost in 2 of her meets. She is a high school student and she works part time at McDonald’s and trains Jiu-Jitsu 4 days a week for 2 hours at a time. She is going through a huge recovery and hasn’t been able to train for the last 8 months now. This not only has killed her confidence but it has left an extremely sour taste in not only my families mouth but everyone that’s close to her, including those she trains with.

I knew there would be an issue the moment this person walked out and if we were aware this was taking place we would’ve never agreed to this.

Why don’t people accept biological differences anymore? Has science completely went out the window?
