Wrestling champion dead at 36 in 'tragic' news

Popular wrestling superstar Bray Wyatt has died at the age of 36 from a reported heart attack.

The news was confirmed by WWE's chief content officer and 14-time champion Paul 'Triple H' Levesque on X, formerly Twitter.

Wyatt reportedly suffered from heart issues which worsened after contracting COVID-19.

He had been unsighted in the league for several months leading up to his death.

Wyatt made his WWE debut in 2009 and was popular among fans and colleagues.

He had a brief recess from the game in 2021 and 2022, which was never fully explained, but returned last September.

Wyatt's father, Mike, was also a WWE star who performed under several aliases, while his brother Taylor remains a current WWE performer.

Wyatt's death came only a day after WWE legend Terry Funk died at the age of 79.
