Rawalpindi: Opener Aiden Markram and middle-order batsman Temba Bavuma has replied back steadily after pacer Hasan Ali struck twice early on Day five of the second Test at Pindi Cricket Stadium.
The 26-year-old Markram reached to his fifth century of Test career on the last ball before Lunch while Bavuma has supported him with 44*. Proteas need 151 runs more with seven wickets in hand to level the series.
Earlier, Hasan removed Rassie Van der Dussen (48) in the second over of the day by rattling his stumps and later trapped senior batter Faf du Plessis (5) in front.
Note, the visitors scored 127/1 in 40 overs after Mohammad Rizwan’s heroics led Pakistan to a lead of 370 in second innings.
