Kaylee McKeown has admitted she was "pretty upset" after seeing the vision that resulted in her controversial disqualification in the women's 200-metre individual medley semi-final.
A steely McKeown rebounded from her disappointment to win her semi-final in the women's 100-metre backstroke semi-final on Monday night at the World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, but was still not impressed with her time of 58.48.
"I probably would've liked to have snuck under 58 (seconds), but I had a rough 24 hours, so hopefully with a bit of rest and recovery I'll be able to get there," she told Nine.

"Last night I was OK because I hadn't seen the footage. Then this morning I saw it and (I was) pretty upset, but you've got to go with the ruling and I was ruled out of the final."
Olympic champion Ian Thorpe saw a positive in McKeown's mindset after her semi-final win.
"What I did love hearing there is that she would've liked that semi-final to be under 58 seconds," he said on Nine's coverage.

"That means that she has everything and you see where her mind's at, and it's about moving on."
McKeown beat Canada's Kylie Masse (59.06) and France's Pauline Mahieu (59.30) to win the semi-final, with fellow Aussie Madison Wilson finishing fifth (59.63).
