Rawalpindi: All-rounder Faheem Ashraf, who has been in sublime form with the bat, wants to be called as ‘bowling allrounder’.
Faheem today smashed an unbeaten 78 in the first innings of the second Rawalpindi Test against South Africa. It was his third fifty in the last six innings, however, he has only four wickets in as many innings.
“When my career is over, I still want to be known as bowling-allrounder. Batting has been a plus point for me and the performances have been coming due to the hard work,” Faheem said in a virtual presser after Day two’s play.

The 27-year-old doesn’t think that the Pakistan team has tailenders as all the bowlers are capable of batting.
“All of them (Hasan Ali, Yasir Shah, Nauman Ali) have scored runs and because of them, I am comfortable while batting,” he added.
Talking about decline in average pace today, Faheem said that it was due to the hit he received on his right arm during his batting.
“I was struggling today after the ball hit me while batting. I was also not expecting to ball continuous overs but I did. There’s no such thing that I am not focusing on bowling and the pace has dropped,” he added.
