'What's next?' Cash stolen from Quade's hotel room

Quade Cooper's feel good return to the rugby field has been marred by the theft of more than $1900 from his hotel room.

The Wallabies star continued his encouraging comeback from a ruptured Achilles tendon with an eye-catching performance for the Eddie Jones-coached Barbarians in London at the weekend.

Cooper, 35, was a standout in the 48-42 win over Steve Hansen's World XV at Twickenham, firming up his Rugby World Cup selection claims as the countdown to the tournament hits 100 days.

But the five-eighth revealed some unhappier news on Twitter on Thursday.

"Interesting few days after what was an amazing week with the @Barbarian_FC," Cooper wrote.

"After having 1000£ stolen from my hotel room & my airline losing my luggage it's safe to say I'm wondering what's going to happen next…"

Jones, who previously coached Cooper at the Queensland Reds, continues to pile praise on the silky playmaker.

"I had him first year out of school, and I was spending most of our time trying to work out where he was," Jones said on the Evening Standard Rugby Podcast.

"And now he's matured into a real professional. Just look at the way he looks after his body now. Talking about the Barbarians, he's been in the gym every morning training and he'll be a significant player for us."
