Souths have signed one of the brightest young centres in rugby league – and he just happens to be a cousin of Rabbitohs superstar Latrell Mitchell.
Ethan Ferguson, aged 19, hails from Taree and represented the Australian Schoolboys last year.
The youngster is a Newcastle junior and played in the club's SG Ball team last year.

Newcastle were keen to keep the strongly-built centre but the lure of playing with his illustrious cousin proved too appealing.
He has signed a two-year deal with the Rabbitohs for 2024-25.
The similarities between Ferguson and Latrell are uncanny.
"They are both outside backs, carry the ball strongly and kick goals," a source close to Ferguson said.
"It was a tough decision for him because he was happy at the Knights and they treated him well.
"But the thought of a new challenge and being closer to Latrell and his brother Shaq swayed him to make the move."
