Nauman dedicates match-winning performance to his daughter Ayeza

Karachi: One of the heroes of the Karachi Test, debutant Nauman Ali has dedicated his match-winning performance against South Africa to his daughter Ayeza Nauman.

The 34-year-old Nauman took a fifer in the second innings, becoming the fourth Pakistani spinner to achieve this feat. Overall, he took 7/73 in the match.

“I want to thank my well-wishers for constant support during my journey but I will dedicate this performance to my daughter Ayeza Nauman,” he said in a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

“Due to bio-secure bubble, I couldn’t meet her for quite some time now therefore, I’ll dedicate this to her” he added.

Nauman is now eager to contribute more in the upcoming second Test at Rawalpindi cricket stadium. “There was pressure as I was making debut but the fifer gave me full confidence. I will try to replicate the same performance in the Rawalpindi Test,” he added.
