Fijian flyer Lumelume finds new NRL home

Fijian international winger Isaac Lumelume has signed with the Parramatta Eels for 2023.

Lumelume, 24, joined the Bulldogs this season but was unable to break into the strong Canterbury backline.

But he still made a contribution to the club, playing in the NSW Cup grand final loss to Penrith.

He scored three tries in six starts with the Storm before moving to Sydney last season for family reasons.

Born in Sydney but with Fijian heritage, Lumelume has played three Tests for the island nation, scoring one try.

Lumelume is on a train and trial deal and faces a tough job forcing his way into the Eels' top side.

Fellow Fijian Maika Sivo has a mortgage on one wing spot, with a host of players vying for the other.
