Pakistan to play Zimbabwe right after South Africa

Durban: Pakistan women’s team will travel to Harare after the South Africa tour to play three T20Is and as many 50-over matches against Zimbabwe as part of their preparation for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2021 Qualifier.

Currently, Pakistan is playing against South Africa in their backyard. They have already lost two ODIs out of three whereas they are scheduled to play three T20Is against the Proteas from January 29.

Pakistan will play their matches against Zimbabwe between February 11-20. The 50-over matches will be non-ODIs as Zimbabwe does not have an ODI status, but the 20-over games will be internationals.

Pakistan women cricket team’s head coach David Hemp: “This is excellent news for our team as we need sufficient competitive matches so that we go into the World Cup qualifiers as best prepared as practically possible in these difficult times.”

This will be Zimbabwe women’s cricket team’s first series since May 2019.
