Shahid Afridi to captain Muzaffarabad Tigers in KPL

Islamabad: Former international cricketer Shahid Afridi will lead Muzaffarabad Tigers in Kashmir Premier League (KPL), ARY News reported. 

Afridi has been appointed as captain and president by KPL’s franchise Muzaffarabad Tigers. The agreement between both parties has been signed on Wednesday.

“I am honored to become the president of KPL. I have never felt such gratitude being the ambassador of any other league around the world,” Afridi addressed.

“This league will play an important role in highlighting young cricketers in Kashmir which has talent in bulk. I aim to build a cricket academy in Kashmir to promote young cricketer by providing them ample opportunities,” he said.

It must be noted here that KPL will take place from April 1 to 10 in Mirpur and Muzaffarabad. As many as six teams will participate in the event and that includes Rawalakot Hawks, Bagh Stallions, Muzaffarabad Tigers, Mirpur Royals, Kotliu Panthers, and Overseas Warriors.
