Lahore: Islamabad United’s skipper Shadab Khan said they will try to pick Hasan Ali in drafts after he was released by Peshawar Zalmi.
“Hasan is in hot form and we will try to pick him in our squad for this year’s PSL, said Shadab who is also the best friend of Hasan.
The right-arm pacer is in the Diamond category and only Karachi Kings and Islamabad United have a pick in the first round. Kings will have the first pick.
Hasan is the second-highest wicket-taker so far in five seasons of the PSL with 59 wickets at an average of 20.93.
Meanwhile, Shadab also expressed excitement for the upcoming season of the league, which will be just second to take place completely in Pakistan.
“PSL has quality bowling and batting which set high standards of the league around the world. I am very excited for this PSL season and I have everything goes well,” he said.
It must be noted here that Karachi Kings will start title defense against Quetta Gladiators on February 20. Karachi will host 20 matches whereas Lahore to host 14 matches including playoffs and final.
