‘People who criticize us, also have belief in us’ Misbah

Lahore: Head coach Misbah-ul-Haq said people have high expectations from the cricket team that’s why they criticize them for not performing.

Speaking in PCB’s podcast, Misbah said their performances in New Zealand weren’t up to the mark and they accept all the criticism for that.

“We accept all the criticism for our performance. See, people who criticize us, also have a belief in us. Because they have seen our potential and tied hopes with us,” he said.

“Then, if we don’t perform, they have all the right to criticize us. There is always room for improvement. We have learnt from New Zealand tour and we will try to come up strongly,” he added.

Misbah said their next target is the home series against South Africa in which they will try to overcome their weaknesses and take complete advantage of the home conditions. “We haven’t discussed much about this series yet. We will gather once again before the South Africa series, sit down and discuss how to win home matches,” he told.

“We have plenty of options available for selection. It will be a home series and recently our players played in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. We will consider tournament’s performers in this series,” he concluded.
