Former Kiwi Test forward Elijah Taylor is fuming over a phony video that has gone viral on YouTube, purporting to show him punching and threatening to stab his former manager, who fleeced him of more than $350,000.
He was awarded $484,824 in damages and costs, with the story causing outrage in league circles.
Even more tragically, Taylor is unlikely to see a penny of it, as Miles has declared himself bankrupt.
A video emerged on YouTube today, labelled 'Wests Tigers' Elijah Taylor confronting his Manager Ian Miles'.
In it, a man driving a car, claiming to be Taylor, slaps and punches a man purported to be Miles, who is sitting in the passenger seat.
He also threatens to stab the man purported to be Miles.
"I couldn't believe it when I saw it," Taylor told Wide World of Sports.
"It's not him and it's not me; I would never stab someone.
"I am going to have to contact YouTube and try to get it taken down; I don't want people thinking I am like that.
"I am angry and hurt at Miles for what he did, but I would not ever take that sort of action."
