Karachi: Former Australian captain and number one ranked Test batsman Steve Smith has named Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar Azam as his favorite Pakistani player.
The 31-year-old while answering questions on his official Instagram handle on Tuesday was asked about his favorite player from Pakistan on which Smith replied: “I like watching Babar Azam bat.”
Smith in June 2020, termed Babar Azam “Very good player” and the one, who has a lot of time when he is batting.
It must be noted that he holds a unique record of being the only batsman to feature in the top-five spot in the ICC batting rankings of all three formats (second, third and fifth position in T20Is, ODIs and Tests respectively).
