Stunning finish to UFC title fight

Glover Teixeira has finally climbed to the top of the mountain in the UFC, defeating Jan Blachowicz to become the light heavyweight champion.

The Pole was a short-priced favourite to defend his crown, but was stunned in the second round via submission at the event in Abu Dhabi.

At 42, Teixeira became the second-oldest man to ever claim a UFC title, after Randy Couture, who beat Tim Sylvia for the heavyweight belt in 2007, aged 43.

Earlier, New Zealand's Dan Hooker, fighting for the second time in a month, came up short against Russian Islam Makhachev, who submitted him in the first round.
