Karachi: Ousted from the national team, Asad Shafiq is determined to gain his form back after scoring prominent 141 runs for Sindh against Southern Punjab (SP) in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy’s Fourth Round.
Speaking to reporters via teleconference, Asad said he lacked converting 50s into big scores and he worked hard to get rid of it. “I wasn’t able to convert my innings into big scores and I think it was the biggest pressure on me,” he said.
Adding on, the right-handed experience batsman is confident to continue his century performance into upcoming matches of the event. “This inning gave me immense confidence and I am looking forward to continuing with it. Selection is not in my hands, whenever selectors will think they need me, I will be back. Meanwhile, I will try my best to give 100 percent in domestic cricket,” he concluded.
