The injury came just a day after 25-year-old told reporters that he expected to return in "a couple of weeks".

While the severity of Vunivalu's latest hamstring setback is still to be determined, the Wallabies will proceed with caution, and as a result Vunivalu is expected to miss the final four Rugby Championship Tests.

Vunivalu's injury news comes just 24 hours after Dave Rennie's side were thumped by the All Blacks in Perth.

Despite some bright stretches of play, the Wallabies were left to lament a number of intercept tries scored by New Zealand, who ran out 38-21 winners to claim a Bledisloe clean sweep.
