Sixth Begum Kulsoom Saifullah Khan National Tennis Championship kicks off tomorrow

Islamabad: Sixth Begum Kulsoom Saifullah Khan National Ranking Tennis Championship is starting from Tuesday here in Islamabad. The prize money for the event organized by the Pakistan Tennis Federation is Rs. 700,000.

According to the details, 300 players from all over the country will take part in juniors, seniors, men, women and doubles event of the competition.

In men, national champion Aqeel Khan will be in action while in women, Ushna Suhail will take in the competition.

Aqeel Khan said that many players were confined to their homes due to coronavirus but now it is commendable that a large number of entries have come.

The national champion added that tennis was gaining momentum at a rapid pace, as the ball-pickers have now stepped up to compete on the court.

While according to Ushna Suhail, good competitions are expected despite the cold weather and players must be accustomed to playing in all seasons.
