The Canberra Raiders are back in the NRL top-eight with one round remaining ahead of finals after pulling off a sensational comeback over the Warriors in Mackay.
A last-ditch try from Jordan Rapana sealed the 28-16 result, and another four-pointer just seconds later to Hudson Young was the dagger in the Warriors' gallant finals bid.
But Nathan Brown's men will be kicking themselves after letting a golden opportunity to keep their season alive when they went up 16-0 in a stunning first-half onslaught.
Having opened the scoring inside 40-seconds thanks to Sean O'Sullivan, the Warriors trebled down through Rocco Berry and Dallin Watene-Zelzniak.
But a try on the half-time siren to Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad would be their undoing as Canberra took a semblance of momentum into the break and never looked back to pile on 28 unanswered points.
Sebastian Kris would bag a double in the second period, and Rapana touched down in the dying stages of the match, the result was all but rescued for coach Ricky Stuart.
The win sees the Raiders jump the Sharks into the top-eight on the NRL live ladder. Cronulla will face the Broncos tomorrow evening.
