Karachi: Usman Wazeer beat Indonesian boxer BS Lopez in a welterweight fight to defend his Asian Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) title here at Peoples Sports Complex, Lyari.
Usman dominated Lopez throughout in front of the home crowd. In Sixth Round, Lopez suffered knee injury and fell in the ring which stopped the contest. Following a serious injury, the jury declared Usman the winner of the fight.
It must be noted here that this was the first time Lyari’s Peoples Sports Complex hosted an international boxing competition. This fight took place under the banner of Hussain Shah Promotion.
