
DHAKA: Shakib Al Hasan bagged four wickets as Bangladesh beat Australia by 60 runs in the fifth game to seal five-matches T20I series 4-1.
While chasing 123 runs, Australian batters fell apart in front of the hosts. Only captain Mathew Wade and Ben McDermott scored double figures.
Wade scored run-a-ball 22 whereas Dermott scored 17 off 16 including a six.
Mohammad Saifuddin bagged three wickets apart from Shakib and Nasum Ahmed took two. Mahmudullah managed to get a wicket.
Earlier, Australia restricted Bangladesh to 122/8 in respective 20 overs. Mohammad Naim scored the highest 23 runs off as many balls with the help of a boundary and a six. Mahmudullah made 19.
Nathan Ellis and Dan Christian took two wickets each while Adam Zampa, Ashton Turner, and Ashton Agar bagged a wicket each.
This was Bangladesh’s first-ever T20I series win over Australia.
