Karachi: Pakistani shooter Ghulam Mustafa Bashir is satisfied with his performance in the 25m rapid fire pistol shooting competition at Tokyo Olympics 2020.
GM Bashir finished sixth with a score of 293 at the end of stage 1 of the qualifier but he couldn’t replicate the same and finished 10th position at the end of a two-stage qualifier. He got 286 points to take his total points to 579.
“I have represented Pakistan in two Olympics. I had less experience in the last Olympics. I finished ninth and I am satisfied with my performance,” Bashir said during an event.
Bashir didn’t train well ahead of the games and was in Tokyo without his coach. “Due to policy, I couldn’t travel with my coach but I was in touch with him during the games,” he added.
“Our preparation suffered as pre-Olympics event was postponed,” he maintained.
Bashir concluded with a determination that he will try to improve his flaws.
