Wahab Riaz ruled out of The Hundred after spectacular debut

Karachi: Pakistan’s experienced pacer Wahab Riaz has been ruled out of The Hundred due to a back niggle.

The 36-year-old Wahab’s niggle was confirmed after an MRI. He will recover in 5-10 days approximately.

Wahab was part of the Trent Rockets and he made his debut against Welsh fires on August 6 where he bagged four wickets. He became only the fourth bowler to pick 4 or more wickets in an innings of The Hundred. He didn’t play against Oval Invincibles yesterday.

It must be noted that Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir are the only two Pakistanis playing England’s maiden ‘The Hundred’.
