LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab, Usman Buzdar assured that his government will support young athletes to make them competent for the international level.
While reacting to Arshad Nadeem and Talha Talib’s performance at Tokyo Olympics 2020, Buzdar said he wants the youth of Punjab to follow in the footsteps of the two proud Pakistani athletes.
“The whole nation is proud of Arshad Nadeem. He finished in the top 5 but his determination will motivate and inspire Millions of Pakistanis. Punjab Govt will Inshallah ensure more and better sporting facilities for our youth to follow in the footsteps of Talha Talib and Arshad Nadeem,” he wrote on Twitter.

It must be noted here that both Talha and Arshad finished fifth in Weightlifting and Javelin Throw events respectively. The performance by the athletes without proper facilities and support let the nation realize the difficulties they face.
Both the athletes remained top trend on social media with Pakistanis demanding the government to provide support to them.
