Pakistani politicians bash India for playing politics in cricket again

ISLAMABAD: Chairperson of Pakistan’s Parliamentary Special Committee on Kashmir, Shehryar Khan Afridi said International Cricket Council (ICC) must take action against India for playing politics in cricket.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday after foreign players withdrew from Kashmir Premier League (KPL) due to Indian pressure, Afridi said India’s behavior is out of his mind.

“I can’t understand this behavior of India. They put unnecessary pressure on the players. ICC should take action on this matter,” said Afridi.

“KPL will start as per schedule from August 6 and will show the positive side of Kashmir and Pakistan to the world,” he added.

On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry also called out India in his tweet.

“India is not playing politics in cricket for the first time, they have done this a lot of times before. But, they should keep in mind, it will not cause any problem in Kashmir’s struggle for independence,” he wrote.
