‘No promotion for me in last 3 years in WAPDA’ laments Talha Talib

KARACHI: Talha Talib, who finished fifth in weightlifting in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics 2020, lamented the lack of support in his department WAPDA. 

Taking to Twitter, Talha shared that WAPDA didn’t give him a promotion in the last three years. “Ministry of WAPDA, now please regular me and also give promotions for my better future! It’s been three years, I have had no promotion from WAPDA! Please notice!” he wrote.

It must be noted here that Talha caught major limelight on social media after he missed a medal in Tokyo Olympics by just two points. The 21-year-old weightlifter lifted 320 Kgs Men’s 67Kg category.
