China leads medals table on Day 1 of Tokyo Olympics 2020

TOKYO: Olympics Games 2020 kicked off here at Olympic Stadium with back-to-back competitions in different categories. 

After Day 1’s end, China was leading the medals table with three Golds and a Bronze followed by Italy (1 Gold and a Silver) and Japan (1 Gold and a Silver). India has bagged a silver in weightlifting whereas no medal for Pakistan on an opening day.
