Hambantota: Mohammad Amir said he and his team Galle Gladiators will put everything into the final against Jaffna Stallions to win the maiden Lanka Premier League (LPL)’s title here on Wednesday.
In a video shared by a Pakistani-owned franchise before an all-important contest, Amir said playing the final of any tournament has always been exciting. “Obviously, it’s an exciting day for us and I hope we make it to lift the trophy. Our focus is to not take the pressure and enjoy the game by putting everything we have,” he said.

“We are getting a lot of support here and back from Pakistan as well and winning league tournaments always give fans a moment to cheer. We will come up strongly and win this tournament,” he concluded.
It must be noted here that Gladiators lost five back-to-back matches initially but made a comeback and qualified for the semi-finals. They beat Colombo Kings to set the final clash with Stallions.
